Kadokawa has released a teaser promotional video for the Isshiki-san wa Koi o Shiritai (Isshiki-san Wants To Know Love/ 一式さんは恋を知りたい。) TV anime, which confirms that the anime will premiere in January 2027.

Komai Kazuya is directing the anime at Sakura Create studios, and the anime will star Akechi Riko as Isshiki Rinna Milford and Umeda Shuuichirou as Meishi Rokutanda.
The anime is based on Araragi Ayune‘s Isshiki-san wa Koi o Shiritai manga series. Araragi started the romance manga in June 2020 in Kadokawa’s Monthly Shonen Ace magazine, and Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2020. The manga’s 10th volume will be released on May 25th, 2026.
Yen Press has licensed the manga, and it will release the first volume in English under the name Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love on September 22nd, 2026. Yen Press described the story below:
“The straitlaced and serious police inspector Isshiki has earned the respect of everyone around her, but lately, she hasn’t quite been herself at work. Whenever her coworker Rokutanda is around, she gets flustered and slips up! Having no experience with such complicated feelings, Isshiki decides to enter a pseudo-relationship with Rokutanda and figure out what this love thing is all about!”
