The official Twitter account for the web manga Puniru wa Kawaii Slime (Puniru is a Cute Slime) has revealed that the manga has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation. At the time of writing, no further details have been released.
Maedakun, the creator of the web manga, drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement.
Maedakun launched the web manga in Shogakukan’s Shuukan Coro Coro Comics back in March 2022. The romantic comedy tells the story of Kotarou, who created a slime and named it Puniru. The slime then transforms into a beautiful, free-spirited girl.
Shogakukan published the manga’s fourth tankoubon volume in August 2023, and it will release the fifth volume on January 26, 2024.
