Kadokawa revealed the first promotional video for the fifth season of the TV anime Date A Live V, the anime’s key visual, and it confirmed that the anime will premiere in April 2024. The video also previews the anime’s opening theme song, Paradoxes, by the artist Tomita Miyu, and the anime’s official website has confirmed that the group sweet ARMS will perform the song Hitohira as the ending theme song for the anime.

The fifth season is directed by Nakagawa Jun at Geek Toys studio and will contain 12 episodes. The anime’s returning cast includes:

The first season of Date A Live TV Anime premiered in 2013 with 12 episodes, and the second season aired ten episodes in 2014. It was followed by the anime movie Gekijouban Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment, released in Japan in August 2015. The anime’s third season began in January 2019 and aired for 12 episodes. The fourth season also contained 12 episodes, premiering in April 2022.
The anime is based on the light novel series by Tachibana Koushi (Ousama no Propose) with illustrations by Tsunko, launched in March 2011. Kadokawa’s Fujimi Shobo published the 22nd novel in March 2020. The light novels have inspired several manga and video games.
