CTW Inc. confirmed last week that the TV anime The New Gate will get a browser game adaptation titled THE NEW GATE Best Collection. The game will be free to play with optional in-game purchases. Pre-registration for the game is available now.

The anime will premiere on April 13th, 2024, on Tokyo MX and Bs11, and Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs. Nakatsu Tamaki directs the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts.
The New Gate anime is an adaptation of Kanazami Shinogi’s light novel series of the same name. Kazanami began the original story in 2013 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website. In 2016, the story was removed from the website, and AlphaPolis made it available on theirs. AlphaPolis began publishing the story in print, with illustrations by Makai no Jounin, in December 2013, and it released the 22nd novel in November 2023.
Miwa Yoshiyuki also adapted the light novels into manga in November 2014 on AlphaPoli’s web manga website. AlphaPolis released the first tankoubon volume in August 2015; the latest novel, number 14, was released on March 19th, 2024.
The novels and manga are described as an online game that transforms into a life-and-death struggle for players.
