Aniplex has released a new promotional video for the TV Anime Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte (Ameku Takao’s Detective Karte/ Ameku M.D: Doctor Detective), which confirms that the anime will premiere in January 2025. Staff for the anime also revealed the names of more cast members and confirmed that the show will also be streamed on Crunchyroll in the West.

Iwata Kazuya (Youjo Shachou R, Loop 7-kaime no Akuyaku Reijou wa) is directing the anime at Project No. 9 studios, and the anime will star:
- Sakura Ayane as takao Ameku
- Ono Kenshou as Yu Takanashi
- Iwami Manaka as Mai Konoike
- Mizuki Nana as Mazuru Ameku
- Tachiki Fumihiko as Ouwashi Ameku
The anime is based on the light novel series titled Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte (Ameku Takao’s Detective Karte) by author Chinen Mikito. The series revolves around a female doctor who solves murders and medical mysteries at the Department of Diagnosis at a general hospital.
Publisher Shinchosha released the first 13 novels by Chinen with illustrations by Ito Noizi from October 2014 to September 2022. Since October 2023, Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha has started republishing the original 13 novels in addition to three new novels in the series. The 16th novel, Terror at Absolute Zero, was released in April 2024, and the 17th novel, Entrapped in the Poisonous Prison, will be released on October 4th, 2024.
