REMOW confirmed this week that Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Naijan, Muri Muri! Muri Janakatta!? (There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless…), the Yuri light novel series by Mikami Teren and Takushima Eku will get a TV anime adaptation in July 2025.

Uchinuma Natsumi is directing the anime at Studio Mother, and the anime will star Nakamura Kanna as Renako Amaori, Ounishi Saori as Mai Ouzaka, and Anzai Yukari as Ajisai Sena.
Mikami (Moshi, Koi ga Mietanara) and Takushima released the first novel in the series in February 2020 under Shueisha’s Dash X Bunko label and the sixth novel in November 2023. The seventh volume will be released on December 25th, 2024.
Musshu (Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) adapted the story into manga in May 2020, which was posted on Shueisha’s Dash X Comic section of the Nico Nico Seiga website. Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2020 and the seventh volume in September 2024.
Seven Seas Entertainment releases both the novel series and manga adaptation in English under the name There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless. It will release its sixth novel on February 11th, 2025, and the manga’s seventh volume on June 24th, 2025. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the story below:
