Runaway: "Wrath and Despair" Arc Rewritten
Runaway: "Wrath and Despair" Arc Rewritten

[IMPORTANT: This is a rewritten story from my main comic "Runaway". Please read "Preface" for more information!] After recent events, Hiromi starts to experience this weird feeling and her sleep is being haunted by cryptic dreams. Seeking answers, she encounters something more dangerous, yet also what she had already seen. A lot of familiar "faces". ⚠︎ This story contains sensitive topics (such as suicidal themes, slight body horror), be mindful of this when reading it.

Hey Etheluu! I was just browsing NamiComi and came across "Runaway: 'Wrath and Despair' Arc Rewritten." First off, I love the dedication it takes to revisit and rewrite a specific arc from your main story. The transition of Hiromi's journey from trying to escape her destiny as a head aristocrat to being plagued by these haunting, cryptic dreams is incredibly compelling. The psychological weight of this arc, especially with the warnings of body horror, heavy tragedy, and encountering "familiar faces" in a much more dangerous light, gives it such a gripping, intense atmosphere. A heavy, emotional, and slightly dark supernatural story like this is an absolute goldmine for moody visual storytelling. I keep picturing a deeply dramatic illustration of Hiromi caught in one of her cryptic dreams perhaps surrounded by the hazy, distorted silhouettes of those "familiar faces," with sharp, high-contrast shadows emphasizing the "Wrath and Despair" creeping in around her. Capturing that raw, vulnerable emotion amidst a supernatural threat makes for an incredibly powerful hook. I’m Ava, a freelance comic and manga artist, and I work on a commission basis. I specialize in drawing dark fantasy, complex character emotions, and intense dramatic scenes. If you're ever looking for custom promotional art, key visuals, or dark, atmospheric character sheets to showcase Hiromi's psychological struggle in this rewritten arc, I would love to collaborate!
