The official website for the Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi (転生悪女の黒歴史 /The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess) TV anime has revealed the show’s third promotional video, which confirms that the anime will premiere at midnight on October 8th, 2025, on the TV Tokyo and BS11 channels.

The anime is based on the Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi manga by Touka Akiharu. Touka (Eros and Thanatos) first started the manga in August 2018 in Hakusensha’s Lala magazine, and Hakusensha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in January 2019 and the 16th volume in May 2025.
Yen Press publishes the manga in English under the name The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess, and it will release the manga’s 13th volume on September 23rd, 2025. Yen Press describes the story below:
“Konoha Satou has a dark history. After all, she spent her teen years writing self-indulgent fantasy romance fics-like her Dark History. But since she’s become its most despicable villainess, remembering every last detail is now a matter of life and death. Having avoided the first couple of death flags, Satou suddenly left in the dark when a mysterious stranger returns from the Lily Kingdom character she doesn’t recall writing in the original script. Although Yomi claims to be her ally, can Satou really trust a character she knows nothing about in such a dangerous world?”
