Hitogome and Sasakama Tarou, the artist for the manga adaptation, drew illustrations to celebrate the anime announcement.

Kuzuya Naoyuki (Saiyuki Gaiden, Bikkuriman 2000, Bikini Warriors) is directing the anime at Studio Comet, and the anime will star Sakata Shougo as Takumi Iruma, Kayano Ai as Sofia Sylphid, Touyama Nao as Maria, Hashi Afumi as Maple (Kaede) and Amamiya Sora as Goddess Nolyn.
Kogitsunemaru started the story in 2017 on the AlphaPolis Website, and Alphapilis released the first novel with illustrations by Hitogome in February 2018 and the 15th novel in October 2023. The novels won the Reader Award at AlphaPolis 10th Fantasy Shousetsu Award in 2017.
The novel series also inspired a manga adaptation by Sasakama Tarou, which was published on the AlphaPolis website in August 2018. AlphaPolis released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2019, and the seventh volume will be published on May 20th, 2024.
