Kadokawa’s Young Dragon Age magazine confirmed that manga author Touge Hiro will launch a manga adaptation of the Eiyuu Sonogo no Second Life: Shikashi Kodomo ni Ryоouri wo Furumau no wa Tanoshii kamo na (Hero’s Second Life: But It Might Be Fun to Cook for Kids) light novel series by Shibamura Yuuri. The manga will start in the magazine’s 26th issue, which will be available for sale on December 26th, 2024.
Shibamura (Marginal Operation) started the story in November 2023 on the Kakuyomu website. In April 2024, Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by Shizuma Yoshinori (Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho, Marginal Operation, Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha), and the second novel was released on September 25th, 2024.
The story follows Silenzio Agata, a hero of unparalleled fame who is known as the Treasured Sword of Alba. His legendary military career as a naval admiral, in which he defeated numerous difficult and powerful opponents, came to an end with a notice from his home country of Alba that he would be blessed as a nobleman.
Silenzio was ordered to study at the military academy in the neighboring kingdom of Ruth as a condition for becoming a nobleman. On the way, he saved the life of a feathered fairy, and when he arrived at his study abroad destination, he was mistaken and enrolled in a junior school for elven boys and girls! He was not bothered by the unexpected situation and became a classmate of the young children. Silenzio himself, who became friends with a young girl named Thetis, cooked food for her and quickly won the hearts of the elven boys and girls. This is the story of what happened after the “legend” man, who, while the adults were at the mercy of his position, cooked food for his little friends and enjoyed school life.
