The official Twitter account for the game Mahjong Soul (Jong-Tama) by Yostar has revealed a new teaser video for a new anime in the franchise titled Mahjong Soul Kan!! (Jong-Tama Kan!!). The anime is set to premiere in April 2024.

Koga Kazuomi (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible) is the new director of the anime at studio Alke, with Yostar in charge of production. Scooter Films produced the previous anime, and studio Alke assisted with its production.
The Mahjong Soul Kan!! anime is a sequel to Mahjong Soul Pon☆ (Jong-Tama Pong☆), a short TV anime that premiered in April 2022 and can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
The original game was an online mahjong game developed by the Chinese game company Cat Food Studio in 2018. In 2019, Yostar released the game in Japan as a web browser game, and the game is now available as an app on iOS and Android devices.
